Fresh Spring 2014

The spring issue of Fresh magazine came out in March, just in time for Island gardeners to start seriously digging around in the soil. To encourage people who have never gardened to give it a try, I wrote a piece for this issue called Plant a Salad (page 22). Salt of the Earth (page 26) discusses a foodie’s view on the new Health Canada guidelines for sodium intake. As always, this issue is packed full of wonderful recipes, including BC Seafood and Grilled Vegetable Salad, the cover recipe and part of the Spring Forward article, and Pepperoni Pita Pizza, a quick, easy alternative to take out in the article Fast-Food Fixes From Home. Here’s the link the flip-through version.
