The November/December issue of Yam magazine is gorgeous and full of the festive spirit, from decorating ideas, recipes, and glittering gowns to a great gift guide and clever wrapping tips. My contributions to this issue include, A New Look at an Old Flame is all about fireplace renovations (page 44). Then, on page 78, In Person: Beyond the Public Eye is an interview with CTV and CFAX frontman Bruce Williams on using profile as a force for good in the community. Lastly, Bookmarks, on page 96 features reviews of Khaled Hosseini’s And the Mountains Echoed, Linwood Barclay’s A Tap on the Window, and Cocktail Culture: Recipes and Techniques from Behind the Bar by Shawn Soole and Nate Caudle, two of Victoria’s bartending super stars.
